Na 2ª edição Mulheres com Tomates, a NUTS desafiou seis convidados a falarem da sua experiência de vida como empreendedores. Uma geração que pegou no negócio da família inspirada pelas mulheres das suas vidas e pela sua atitude. Os tempos mudaram e os desafios que encontram hoje são bem diferentes de outrora. Que desafios são estes? Foi no dia 9 de Outubro na Second Home Lisboa.

For the 2nd edition of Mulheres com Tomates, NUTS challenged six guests to share their life experience as entrepreneurs. A generation which took over their family businesses inspired by the women of their lives and their attitude. Times have changed and the challenges they face today are a lot different from the ones faced in the past. What are these challenges? The event occurred on the 9th of october at Second Home Lisbon.

Ao lobby da Second Home, no Mercado da Ribeira em Lisboa, foram chegando convidados, jornalistas e bloggers. Num ambiente descontraído e informal provaram o gaspacho de tomate e figos da índia criado por Leopoldo Calhau, acompanhado de pão e azeite Esporão. O chocolatier Niccollò Corallo também surpreendeu com a sua criação exclusiva para o Mulheres com Tomates de tomate seco com cacau!

Second Home’s lobby, at the TimeOut Market, welcomed guests, journalists and bloggers. In an informal and relaxed environment, they tasted the gazpacho made of tomato and indian figs by Leopoldo Calhau, bread and olive oil from Esporão. The chocolatier Niccollò Corallo surprised us with an exclusive creation for the event: cocoa with dried tomato!

Na conversa, guiada pela storyteller Sandra Nobre, ouviram-se histórias diferentes. Projetos de amor/ódio que desviavam o tempo e a atenção aos seus pais mas que acabaram por lhes cair nas mãos. Uma geração vindoura que não deixou cair os negócios de família e soube prosseguir as pisadas das mulheres que os marcaram, fazendo crescer, mas à sua maneira. A semente ficou neles: a atitude. As razões sempre distintas, mas os tomates estão lá. No sítio.

During the talk, moderated by the storyteller Sandra Nobre, a lot of stories were carefully listened to. Love and hate projects that took away their parents’ time and attention but that also ended up falling into their lap. A younger generation that didn’t let the family business down, and took over it following the steps of women who inspired them, making it grow but in their own way. The seed was sown in them: the attitude. The motives were not the same for everyone, but they all had the nuts in the right place.
